We are a rural benefice made up of two parishes. We are blessed with two beautiful medieval churches that have been places of stillness and spiritual refreshment for over 700 years.
Our recent visioning day at affirmed our churches' aim to be open and inclusive, to create a culture where we can deepen and nurture our faith in Jesus Christ.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved at both St Michael Smarden and All Saints Biddenden. There is an active church choir with junior and senior sections; there are home study groups and prayer groups. Both churches have bellringing teams that welcome interest from adults and youth. There are strong teams of flower arrangers.
Church members are actively involved in the life of the villages of Smarden and Biddenden, where we try to foster a caring and lively parish community.
